Four RBHS students become state ambassadors

Four students from Red Bay High School have been chosen to represent the Northern section of the state as Alabama Sports Festival Foundation Student Ambassadors. Seniors Daniel Lindsay, Holly Hardin and Jamal Anderson and junior Darby Madden were all chosen for this honor.
“I am extremely proud of these students as they are true leaders and represent their school extremely well,” said sponsor Dr. Kay Hargett. “This is not only an honor for these students but for our school as well.”
The campaign title is “The Life You Save May be Your Own.” The students will attend orientation for ambassadors in Huntsville Oct. 29.
“I am very excited about my upcoming year as an ASF ambassador,” said senior Holly Hardin. “I look forward to being a mentor in teaching the youth of Northwest Alabama the importance of academics, having a healthy lifestyle and having good citizenship.”
The ASF Foundation Student Ambassadors will be responsible for helping promote ASF Foundation and all of its programs including serving as the school’s official representative on the ASF Foundation County Alumni and Friends organization. The RBHS ambassadors will be ASF Foundation spokespersons, distributing program material to the school and businesses in the community, speaking on television and radio about the programs or taking press releases to the local newspapers.
The main goal ASF is promoting is to teach youth the importance of academics, healthy lifestyles and good citizenship.
