Herbert Williams

Herbert Williams, 83, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015 at North Miss. Medical Center. He was born in Atwood, to Claude and Iris Page Williams. He was retired from M & M Mars after thirty-two years and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Services were Saturday, Sept. 26, at New Bethel Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss. with Bro. Brian Weems officiating. Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery, Belmont, Miss.

Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Ann Williams, Golden, Miss.; seven children: Judy Zabilka and Ricky Williams, both of Villa Park, Il., Brenda Lawson, Republic, Mont., Debbie Klein and husband Dave Aurora, Il., Randy Williams, Hanover Park, Ill., Tony Williams, Golden, Miss. and Ryan Williams and wife Christy Ripley, Miss.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers: Herdis Williams and husband Dale, James Williams, Billy Joe Williams and Bobby Lynn Williams and husband Denise; two sisters: Ann Cantrell and Marion Wallace and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Stanley Williams and two sisters, Clauddie Hudson and Sandy Williams.

Pallbearers were Nicky Newell, Dicky Sparks, Jeffrey Sparks, Johnny Mack Johnson, Dave Klein and David Williams.

Visitation was Friday, Sept. 25, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, and he will lie in state on Saturday, at the church.
