Local Educators Installed as ACTA Officers
Mike Powell and Scot Wiginton were recently installed as officers of ACTA, the Alabama Association of Career Technical Administrators.
ACTA is the professional organization for those individuals serving in an administrative capacity related to Career and Technical Education.
Powell, Career/Tech Coordinator for Russellville City Schools, has been an administrator in the Russellville School System for 13 years and an employee for 28 years. He was elected as the President-Elect and will serve on the ACTA Board of Directors for three years.
Wiginton, Career/Tech Director for Franklin County Schools, has been an administrator for five years and an employee for 19 years. He will serve as the ACTA District I Vice-President and will also serve on the Board of Directors.
Both educators have a Career/Tech background in the classroom.
