T.R.A.C.K.S promises safe, enriching summer for children

As school came to a close for the year, many parents faced the same problem they face every year: where can my children go during the day?

The Franklin County Community Education offers a summer T.R.A.C.K.S. program. for Franklin County children ages 4-12 at these locations: Phil Campbell Elementary, East Franklin, Red Bay, Tharptown, Belgreen and Vina. Children must have completed Pre-K to join the program, which runs weekdays, May 26 through July 24, 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

The registration fee is $20 per child. The weekly tuition rates range from $45 to $65 depending on Child Nutrition Lunch Rates.

T.R.A.C.K.S. will promote academic enrichment through games, activities, literature, arts and crafts and sports available for all children attending. Parents can register their children at any time during the program. Forms can be picked up in the Community Education Office from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. or on the Franklin County School’s website.

T.R.A.C.K.S. will also offer transportation to a T.R.A.C.K.S location. Participants must be at the assigned stop before the bus arrives. In the afternoons, someone must be at the stop to pick up the students.
