Mary Florence Brooks Jackson, 90, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at her residence.  She was born in Prentiss County, Miss., to Thomas and Georgia Brooks.  She was a homemaker and a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Services were Monday, April 27, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Miss. with Bro. Billy Turbyfill, and Bro. Roger Wood officiating. Burial was in Joel Cemetery.

She is survived by nine children, Lois Bailey and husband, Bill, and Mois Gallahar  and husband, Jerry,  both of Tishomingo, Patricia Thornton and husband, James, of New Site, Linda Bostick and husband, Ray, of Philadelphia, Miss. , Pam Jackson and Anita Hardin and husband, Alan, both of Red Bay, Phillip Jackson and wife, Susan, of Belmont, Delores Hester and husband, Randy, and Paula Jackson both of Vina; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law-Jean Jackson of Booneville, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elton Jackson; two sons-, James Thomas “J.T.” Jackson and Tony Gary Jackson and a granddaughter, Cindy Bailey Epperson.

Pallbearers were grandsons-Jason Jackson, Chris Clark, Corey Clark, Andy Jackson, Shannon Pounds, Nash Hardin, Matthew Hester, Andrew Hester and Daniel Wooten. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Jackson, Devin Bullard, Chad Sartain, Cody Sartain and Mackenzie Sartain.

Visitation was Monday, April 27, at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Miss.

The family would like to give special thanks to our Aunt Bobby Sue Basden, hospice, 911 personnel and all other care givers who took special care of our mother.  Also, Deaton Funeral Home for the care of our mother.
