Kenneth Martin Chappell, 86, Haleyville, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, at his home. He was born in Franklin County, was a retired Security Guard, and attended South Haleyville Church of God.

His visitation was on Monday, April 20, 2015, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, with his funeral following in the chapel with Rev. Jerry Lawler, Rev. Steve Chappell and Rev. J.E. Jackson officiating. Burial was in Winston Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Sue Adams Chappell; children Steve Chappell and wife, Manya, of Florence, S.C., Judy Chappell of Haleyville and a God sent daughter, Shelia Bailey of Haleyville; brothers, Jack Chappell of Cleveland, Ohio, Ralph Chappell of Phil Campbell, and Raymond Chappell and wife, Clara, of Aragon, Ga.; grandsons, Steven, Kevin and Michael Chappell; great granddaughters, Nataleigh and Rileigh Chappell; step grandchildren, Joseph Wood and wife, Rosanne, Micah Wood and wife, Delana, Abigail Baker and husband, Joshua and Alisha Russell and husband, Chris; step great grandchildren, Jack, Ezra, and Evie Wood; a host of family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Jane Carpenter Chappell; father, Fred Chappell; step mother, Bernice Chappell; brothers, Fred Jr., Bobby and Don Chappell and Gene Autry Byrd.
