John Thomas Uptain, 76, Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at Russellville Hospital.

He lived most of his life in FranklinCounty and was a member of BethsaidaBaptistChurch.

The family received friends on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.  Funeral service was Monday, in the funeral home chapel with Tony Gasaway officiating.

Survivors include children, Thelon Uptain and wife, Angie, John Uptain and wife, Trina, Joel Uptain and wife, Tammy, Roy Uptain; sisters, Helen Underwood and husband, Tom, Sharon Copeland; brothers, Leroy Junior Uptain and wife, Rose, Martin Uptain; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Leroy and Lillian Uptain; brother, Troy Uptain; sister, Earline Copeland.
