Frances Martha Frick, age 88, Spruce Pine, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 at ECM Hospital.

Mrs. Frick was a retired assembler with Chrysler Auto Manufacturing.  She loved being outside, gardening and fishing.  She was ready to go when anyone ever mentioned a road trip.

The visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 17, 20156 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following. Burial was at Dempsey Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Reba Phillips and husband, Dennis; grandson, Brian T. Phillips; brother, Roger Carter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Frick; parents, Charles and Zady (King) Carter; sisters, Vivian Winchester, Josie Borden; and brothers, Vernon Carter, Marlin Carter, J.R. Carter, and Willard Carter.
