Varsity Boys and Girls Tournament preview

The varsity division of the Franklin County Tournament will tipoff next week at Red Bay High School. The first round games will be Tuesday, Jan. 13th, beginning at 6:30 pm with two games slated. Games will also be played on Jan. 15-16.  The finals will be held Jan. 17. The entire slate of games are included below.

B-Varsity Boys

There are only three teams in the B-Varsity Boys division. The top seed is the Tharptown Wildcats so they are automatically in the finals on Jan. 17. Tharptown will face the winner of Belgreen, the second seed, and Phil Campbell, the third seed. They play Friday, Jan. 16 at 5 pm. The finals of the B-Varsity Boys division is Saturday, Jan. 17 at 5 pm.

Varsity Girls

The opening game of the Varsity Girls division will be on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 6:30 pm. Tharptown, the fourth seed, will play Vina, the fifth seed. The winner of that game will advance to play top-seed Phil Campbell on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 6:30 pm. Red Bay, the second seed, will play Belgreen, the third seed, on Friday, Jan. 16 at 6:30 pm. The finals of the Varsity Girls division will be Saturday, Jan. 17 at 6:30 pm.
