James Richard Winchester, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at the Red Bay Hospital.  He was born in FranklinCounty to Will and Annie Ross Winchester. He was a graduate of MississippiStateUniversity with a degree in Drafting and Design. He was employed by Boeing and then later TVA. He was a veteran of the US Army.

Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, RedBay with Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Burial will be in RedBay CityCemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mavis Winchester of Red Bay; two sons, Ken Winchester and wife, Brigitte, of LaGrange, Ga., and Gary Winchester and wife, Lynn, of Warrior; two grandchildren, Brayden and Briana Winchester.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eva Henson and husband, Hubert.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 18, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, RedBay.
