Raymond Cagle, 89, of Jeffersonville, Ind. and Naples, Fla., passed away Monday Sept. 22, 2014 at Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born to the late Jim and Annie Moore Cagle in Mud Creek.

He is also preceded in death, by brother Cecil Cagle, and loving wife of 45 years Ada Mary Wathen Cagle.

He was a proud Naval Veteran of WWII, retired from the Independence Life and Accident Insurance Company and fishing was a lifelong passion for him.

He is survived by long-time companion of 25 years, Clara Sargent; brother Granville Lee Cagle and wife, Faye, of Athens, three children; Gary Cagle and wife, Helen of Mayfield Kent., Donald Cagle and wife, Eva, of Columbus, Ohio, and Deborah Johnson and husband, Robert, of Talala, Okla.; seven grandchildren , Kim Brickeen and husband, David, Laurie Spencer and husband, Lance, Julie Adlich and husband, Matt, Jonathan Cagle and wife, Marie, Dustin Meadows  and wife, Jess, Clint Meadows and wife, Becca, and Andrew Cagle and wife, Emily, along with 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
