Smokin’ Guns bring home awards

The Cedar Hill Trap Range/Smokin’ Guns participated in the Amateur Trapshooting Association’s 2014 Grand American in Sparta, Ill., at the World Shooting & Recreational Complex.

The local trap-shooting group participated in the AIM Grand Championships on Aug. 2-5.

Winning awards at the championships were:

• Levi Hargett won the Rifle Challenge

• Turner Collum won 3rd place in Doubles

• Turner Collum won 2nd place in H/C

• Samuel Evans won 5 cases of shells

• The Sub-Junior Team won 1st place in Class C

• The Junior Team won 3rd place in Class C
