Man killed in wreck

A Vina man was killed on Friday in a one-vehicle crash on Alabama 19, officials said.

Alabama State Troopers confirmed Clifton Franklin, 53, of Vina, was killed when his 2001 Nissan Pathfinder left the roadway and overturned.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Friday just four miles south of Vina, in Marion County.

Officials at the scene said Franklin wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
