Emmer Jean Hines, 79, Haleyville, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham.

A graveside service was held Monday, June 16, 2014 at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville.

She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Ergle and husband, Donald; grandchildren, Chris Hines, Amanda Hood, Brandon Ergle; great-grandchildren, Weston Hines, Josh Haney, Jr., Melissa Hood; sisters, Letha McKinney, Sandra Jones, Earline Johnson; brothers, Wesley Pierce, Bobby Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Hines; son, Jerome Hines; granddaughter, Kayla Hines; parents, Elmer and Effie Pierce; siblings, Vernon Lee Hines, Jimmy Glen Hines; Sue Adams, and Price Pierce.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff of Princeton Hospital, Birmingham, and the staff of Spry Memorial Chapel for the love and care and shown towards our family.
