Labor Day concert set

Franklin County residents won’t have to look very far this Monday when searching for fun and free Labor Day Entertainment.

Local artist Blaze Bishop, 15, will be hosting “Blaze’s Summer’s End Labor Day Concert” on Monday, Sept. 2, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Sloss Lake in Russellville.

The concert is something Blaze has participated in for the past two years and she said she hopes many people will come out to hear all the talented musicians who will be there to perform.

“We enjoy it and we want other people to enjoy it too,” she said.

“It makes the performers feel more confident when we have a nice crowd, so we hope a lot of people will show up and have a great time.”

Bishop, a staple when it comes to the area’s local talent, will be hosting the concert as well as performing.

Other artists who will be performing along with Bishop include Kevin Adams, Erica Smith, Adam Green, Jacob Green, Buford Parker and Lucas Ciliberti.

Those who attend the concert are asked to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy this free community concert.
