Mary Berneva Reams, 83, Spruce Pine, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Burns Nursing Home.

Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Andy Cansler officiating. Burial was in Burnout Cemetery, Red Bay.

She is survived by her husband, Carl A. Reams; children, Barbara Jean Mayural, James David Pitts, Randy Earl Pitts, Kathy Darlene Plascencia, Mary Bernice Lopez, Daniel Joseph Sanchez; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy Holland and wife, Sharon, R.L. Holland; sister, Genice Adams and husband, Donald; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Ollie Holland; and brother, Darrell Holland.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Burns Nursing Home for the love and care of our family.
