Ruby Elouise Heavner, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her residence.

She was a native of Itawamba County, Miss., and was a homemaker. She attended Northside Baptist Church.

Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Joey Watt and Bro. Billy Turbyfill officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are nine children, Tony Heavner and wife, Wendy, Brattleboro, Vt., John Heavner and wife, Maureen Winamac, Ind., Martha Watt and husband, Joey, Peoria, Ill., Michael Heavner and wife, Sharon, Schererville, Ind., Margie Jackson and husband, Bob, Hebron, Ind., Joe Heavner and wife, Debi, Highland, Ind., Enoch Heavner and wife, Diana, Valparaiso, Ind., Robert Heavner and wife, Sandy, Hammond, Ind. and

Edwin Heavner and wife, Dawn, LaPorte, Ind.; one brother, J.W. Long and wife, Mary Ann, Russellville, and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Heavner.

Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
