Long term recovery group hosting memorial Friday

The Northwest Alabama Long Term Recovery Committee is planning a special “Day of Remembrance” ceremony on Friday, April 27, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Memorial Park in downtown Phil Campbell.
The committee plans to recognize those residents from Franklin and Marion counties who were lost to the tornado on that same day one year earlier.
They will also be celebrating the efforts each community has made and is continuing to make in the recovery process and how they have grown in a year’s time.
