Tulon E. Franks, 88, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Red Bay Hospital.

He was born May 8, 1923, to Garrison and Cora Keeton Franks. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 120 in Red Bay. He retired from Mueller Brass in Fulton, Miss. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, Red Bay.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 3, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Red Bay, with Bro. Ben Rosser and Bro. Ed Williams officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

She is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie Farris Franks, Red Bay; one daughter, Sheila Smith and husband, Larry, of Red Bay; one granddaughter, Amber Williams and husband, Ben, of Lacey’s Spring; one great-grandson, Caleb Williams; one brother, David Franks and wife, Rozana, of Florence, Miss.; one step-grandson; two step-granddaughters and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dexter Bostick, Danny Pearson, Jody Farris, Herb Cooper, Tommy Farris and Billy Bolton. Honorary pallbearers will be members of American Legion Post 120.
