Roy Lee Rollins, 78, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Helen Keller Hospital.

He was a native of Alabama and a construction worker for 25 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Hackleburg.

Funeral services were Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Gene Thomas officiating. Burial was in Halltown Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Rollins, Red Bay; one son, Keven Rollins and wife, Jennifer, of Snead; three grandchildren, Shandelle Wemhoff and husband, Jeffery, Brianna Rollins and Mattie Rollins; special niece and nephew, Johnny and Mary Jo Stockton and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Florence Rollins, five brothers, Ark, Orb, Floyd, Levi and Robert Rollins, and four sisters, Gussie Mae McNatt, Verlie Shewbart, Rosie Oliver and Idell Barker.

Pallbearers were Johnny Stockton, Jeffery Wemhoff, Jimmy Shewbart, Jimmy Wayne Shewbart, Roger Hester and Truman Scott.
