Children who will be four years old by September 1, 2012, are eligible for the 2012-2013 Alabama First Class Pre-Kindergarten Program. Eighteen (18) registered children will be selected for the program by lottery or promotion as required by the Alabama Office of School Readiness.
Children will not be denied participation on the basis of income, race, color, or national origin (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964); sex (Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 and Title II of the Vocational Education Amendments of 1976); or disability (Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) in educational programs [OSR Operating Guidelines, Section 3.1, 2010-11].
