Local business owner Connie Green is seeking the probate judge’s seat during the March 13 Democratic primary.
She is a lifelong county resident and was married to former Probate Judge Mike Green for 35 years before his death in 2007. The couple had three children, the late Tina Green McNatt, Mike Green, Jr., and his wife, Leslie, and Lisa Green Niedergeses and her husband Frank. She has three grandchildren, Michael Green III and Shelby and Caroline Niedergeses and is expecting another grandson in June.
“Mike and I owned and operated Gas Mart West for 27 years and I have owned and operated Connie’s Creations for the past 10 years,” Green said.
“I feel the experience I have gained by working in the public sector almost all my life has given me the ability to communicate with and effectively serve the people of Franklin County.
“As probate judge, I will work hard to provide the quality service that the citizens of Franklin County deserve. My promise to the people is to provide fast friendly service to our customers in the probate office and unbiased decisions in probate court.
“I also pledge a total commitment to economic development. As for the Franklin County Highway Department, I pledge to aggressively pursue all state and federal monies that are available to improve the conditions of our roads.
“As for the various law enforcement agencies and fire departments across the county, I pledge to support funding so they will be able to operate efficiently and protect the law abiding citizens of our county and respond to fires and other emergencies in a timely manner.
“I promise to be hard working, honest and dependable. These are a few of the reasons I am asking the people of Franklin County to support me and help me continue to move Franklin County forward.
