Eugene Brown, 82, Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, with Bro. John Barton officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers were Daniel Beard, Adam Beard, Clifford Ergle, William Burcham, Brock Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Steele and Vernon Pace.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Marie Brown; daughter, Dianna Brown; grandson, Richard Lee Brown; parents, Earl and Ruthie Brown.

He is survived by his children, Joyce Beard and husband, Jerry, Rickey Brown and wife, Pattie; sisters, Laura Patton and husband, Billy, and Earline Burcham; brother, James Brown;  grandchildren, Daniel Beard and wife, Amy, Adam Beard and wife, Julie; great grandchildren, Grace and Kylee Beard; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Mt. View FW Baptist Church.

Special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama and to all friends and family for the many prayers, calls, flowers and food.
