Mechele Rene Bates, 54, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.

She was a native of Cordova but had lived in Russellville for the past 16 years.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Russellville.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church, Russellville, with Joe Lennox and Wade Wallace officiating.

Survivors include father, Richard Kenneth Bates; mother, Jean Richardson Suddith; brothers, Richard Alan Bates and wife, Willy, Gregory Chism Bates and wife, Andrea, and Kenneth Lee Bates; nephews, Heath Bates and wife, Jerica, Charles Bates, Hunter Bates,  and K. Corey Bates; niece, Melissa Marie Bates; great-nephew, Carter Bates.

She was preceded in death by husband, Wayne Dickerson.
