Marie I. Scott, 92, Russellville, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.

Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Wix and Bro. Josh Miller officiating. Interment was in Tharptown Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Greg Lane, Lynn Lane, Terry Stockton, Pete Smith, Glen Kiel and Jerry Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Scott; parents, W.L. and Zula Smith Horton; one brother; four sisters.

She is survived by her son, Charles E. Scott and wife, Paula; granddaughter, Allysen Scott; great grandsons, Nick and Pierce Vongsavanh; several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Tharptown Baptist Church. She was such a sweet, humble lady who will be greatly missed by everyone.

A special thanks to the nursing staff at Burns Rehab & Healthcare and management caretakers who lovingly cared for her during the last year and half; Sharon Warhurst and the Senior Women’s Sunday school class at Tharptown Baptist Church.
