William Allen Chandler, Sr. “Big Daddy,” 78, Hamilton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Charles Yielding and Bro. Bryce Jones officiating. Burial was in Gargis Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy O’Neal Chandler; sons, William Allen Chandler, Jr., Michael Douglas Jackson; daughters, Mary Marie Skinner, Veronica Terri Ergle, Karen Lenae Proffitt; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mary Chandler; brother, Herbert Chandler; sisters, Alice Saint and Juanita Bange.

His pallbearers were his grandsons, Brentley Jackson, Collin Jackson, Zach Cochran, Blake Cochran, Jay Skinner and Keith Skinner.
