Three arrested on meth making charges

Officers arrested three people over the weekend who were allegedly involved in manufacturing methamphetamine at a Phil Campbell residence.

Douglas McArthur Martin, Jr., 36, 269 Old Winstead Rd., Phil Campbell, was arrested on Friday for first-degree attempted manufacturing, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, four counts of second-degree attempted manufacturing; a first-degree receiving stolen property warrant and a probation violation.

Yonna Leanne Stevens, 34, 269 Old Winstead Rd., Phil Campbell, was arrested on Friday for first-degree attempted manufacturing, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of second-degree attempted manufacturing.

Joshua Sneed, 269 Old Winstead Rd., Phil Campbell, was picked up on three alias warrants on Monday and arrested for first-degree attempted manufacturing, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and four counts of second-degree attempted manufacturing.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver, investigators received information that the three suspects were involved in cooking methamphetamine at the Old Winstead Road residence.

Oliver said when officers arrived at the residence on Friday to serve the search warrant, Martin and Stevens were taken into custody after drug paraphernalia and illegal substances were discovered.

Oliver said Sneed was picked up later for his alleged involvement in the meth lab.

At press time, all three suspects were still in custody.
