PHIL CAMPBELL — The Red Bay Lady Tigers scored early and often against the Phil Campbell Lady Bobcats to take a 62-43 victory Friday night at Northwest Shoals Community College-Phil Campbell campus.
The Lady Bobcats had difficulty dropping shots early on in the game, a problem not faced by their opponents. Red Bay jumped out to an 18-2 lead after the end of the first quarter, turning that lead into 34-14 at the half.
“We have a great group of girls, and we work hard every day,” Red Bay head coach Donnie Roberts said.
Red Bay stayed far ahead of Phil Campbell throughout the contest, despite being outscored 29-28 in the second half, giving the Lady Tigers another impressive win.
“We knew what they’d be coming in,” Phil Campbell head coach Darit Riddle said.
Hannah Sharp led Red Bay with 15 points, while Madison Hardy topped the scoring for Phil Campbell with 7.
