Football season is almost over, please support your team

The high school football season will come to an end for three area teams this week as the regular season comes to a close. Two teams have clinched playoff berths and will be playing next week.

The Franklin County Times encourages residents of Franklin County to support all of these teams as their season ends.

For some of the senior athletes at Phil Campbell, Tharptown and Vina who only play football, this will be the final time they wear a uniform representing their school.

Players at Red Bay and Russellville would love to have a great crowd cheering them on as they tune up for the playoffs.

Members of all these teams have endured spirit-crushing heat at the beginning of the season and colder temperatures in recent weeks, spent hours in the weight room and countless hours on the practice field to entertain fans on Thursday and Friday nights this fall.

Please show your support of their hard work by coming out one final night this fall to help root them to victory.
