Hard work pays off for local All American drummer

In America people are encouraged to pursue their dreams. For one member of Russellville’s Marching Hundred, hard work and dedication helped him achieve one of his dreams — earning a spot on the U.S. Army All-American band.

Alex Richey was one of more than 1,000 people across the nation to apply for the honor. After a strenuous audition process, Richey was one of 125 seniors selected for the band.

The Franklin County Times wishes to congratulate Richey on his accomplishment and recognize his efforts to make this dream a reality.

In a few months Richey will be living his dream because he was willing to put in the long hours of practice and the hard work needed to become an All-American.
