Holcomb’s achievement is good for Red Bay
With new laws passed each year, it can be difficult for local governments to keep up to date with various policies outlining what those governments can and cannot do legally.
The Franklin County Times wishes to congratulate Red Bay city clerk Linda Holcomb, who recently earned the title of Master Municipal Clerk.
Holcomb’s decision to pursue this title, becoming the 26th person in the state to hold it, shows her dedication to her job. By taking the time to attend classes, she will be able to help the city avoid any legal pitfalls that could delay actions or lead to costly mistakes.
Holcomb could have taken the easy road and done her job, but by continuing her education she has become proactive in providing the citizens of Red Bay with a more efficient local government.
