Shirley Leindecker, 61, of Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at her residence.

She was a native of Illinois, but had lived in Franklin County for the past 34 years.  She was a member of Mars Hill Community Church and employed by Franklin Manufacturing.

The funeral service will be Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home with Mikey Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery at Phil Campbell. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by husband, Gerald Leindecker, Phil Campbell; sons, Gerald R. Leindecker and James Leindecker, both of Spruce Pine; four grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Bachman, and Pat Moreno, of Hammond, Ind.; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, Harvey and Lula Klapp.
