James Stephen “Steve” Riggs

James Stephen “Steve” Riggs, 60, of the Crooked Oak Community passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 in Augusta, Georgia.
Mr. Riggs was a native of Lawrence County, but had lived most of his life in Colbert County in the Crooked Oak Community.   He was a truck driver employed by Tango and a member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge #371.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 19, 2011, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Dwight Love officiating.  Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.   
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Riggs; son, Jason Riggs and wife, Misty, all of Crooked Oak; mother, Effie “X.L.” Riggs, of Mt. Hope; grandchild, Lindsey Riggs; sisters, Kathy Little and husband, Kennard, Brenda Riggs, all of Mt. Hope, Betty Patterson, and husband, Glen, of Tuscumbia; brothers, Charles Riggs and wife, Frances, of Neel, Ala., Bobby Riggs, of Moulton; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dennis Smith, Brett Riggs, Robby Curnutt, Kenneth Lindsey, Justin Gann and Kenny Herndon.
He was preceded in death by father, Tillman Riggs.
