Jerry Paul Fancher, Sr., 67, of Red Bay, Ala. died September 9, 2011 at his residence.  He was a mechanic for Wrangler for 27 years and also worked for Red Bay Water and Gas.  After he semi-retired he continued to work part time for City Auto in Red Bay.  He was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Shawn Davis officiating.  Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Fancher, of Red Bay; one son, Jerry Paul Fancher and wife, Charlene, of Red Bay; two grandchildren, Grant Fancher, of Mooreville, and Gretchen Fancher, of Red Bay; several cousins, friends and relatives particularly Ronnie Joe Williams and Brenda Hutcheson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vuel Grant and Virginia Elizabeth Boyd Fancher.

Pallbearers were Ronald Burgett, Ken Shotts, Ronnie Joe Williams, Melvin Hutcheson, Donald White and Mike Harris.
