Mary Frances Pennington Wilson, 78, of Russellville, Ala. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 2, 2011 at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Lenox, Dr. Wade Wallace and Rev. Clinton Busler officiating.  Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Greg Pierce, J.O. Taylor, Larry McWilliams, Mitchell Reynolds, James Ashley Renfroe, and Jimmy McColloch.  Honorary pallbearer was John Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, A.C. “Chicken” Wilson; parents, George Roy Pennington and Ollie B. Wyatt; stepfather, Joe Wyatt; brother, Roy Pennington Jr.; sister, Nellie Faye Hall; son-in-law, Danny R. Pierce; grandson, James Tracey Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Pierce McWilliams and husband, Larry, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Judy Wilson Taylor and husband, J.O., of Russellville, Ala.; grandchildren, Greg Pierce and wife, Alison, Ginger Pierce Reynolds and husband, Mitchell, all of Russellville, Ala., Stephanie Taylor Renfroe and husband, James Ashley, of Pelham, Ala.; great grandchildren, Hannah, John, and Elizabeth Pierce; Lauren and Peyton Reynolds, all of Russellville, Ala., Shelby and Emma Renfroe, of Pelham, Ala.; sister, Minnie Lee McColloch and husband, James McColloch, of Russellville, Ala.; dear friend Ollie Thornton, and her Senior Ladies Sunday School Class.
She was born on May 28, 1933, in Franklin County, Ala. to Roy and Ollie Pennington.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Russellville.
