Alford Hoyt Winstead, 77, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011.

He was born on Saturday, March 17, 1934 to Zackie and Lorene Winstead.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Delano Winstead officiating. The burial was at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

He is survived by his children, Bill Winstead, Linda Self, Bob Winstead, Myra Howard, Geneva Whitten, Randall Winstead, Joseph Winstead; 30 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lano Winstead, William “Chub” Winstead; sisters, Audrey O’Kelly, Mazel Saint; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sula Mae Winstead; parents, Zackie and Lorene Winstead; five brothers and sisters, Ann Motes, Velma Mullins, David Winstead, Melvin Winstead, and Douglas Winstead.

The pallbearers were Dale, Jeremy, Tim, Waylon, Nickolas, Donny, and Hope.
