Laura Ann “Polly” Donahue, 80, Russellville, Ala. passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Monday, August 22, 2011.
Funeral service were held Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Akins Funeral Home with Johnny Richardson and Lonnie Oldag officiating.  Burial was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eric Wells, Ronnie Rose, Justin Rose, Matt Foster, Colt Hester, Steve Flippo.  Honorary pallbearers are son-in-laws, Danny Kenney, Phil Hardin, Dixon Livingston, Stephen Bendall, Bucky Rea, Dennison Bretherick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bradley and Jennie Smith; sister, Jewel Hodges; son-in-law, Stephen Wells.
She is survived by her husband, Labon “L.C.” Donahue; daughters, Linda Dianne Kenney and husband, Danny, of Cherokee, Donna Hardin and husband, Phil, of Spruce Pine, Kay Livingston and husband, Dixon, of Russellville, Patti Bendall and husband, Stephen, of Russellville, Pam Rea and husband, Bucky, of Littleville, Candace Bretherick and husband, Dennison, of Florence; grandchildren, Kyme Smith, Shannon Kikta, Kristi Rose and husband, Ronnie, Saundra Guthrie and husband, Steve, Eric Wells and wife, Shaunna, Scott Hardin, Heather Kiel and husband, Kraig, Terri Livingston-Austin, Laura Hill, Ashley Flippo and husband, Steven, Brianne Bendall, Paige Bendall, Jaden Bretherick, Kaitlin Bretherick; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Wayne Smith and wife, Vivian, of Indiana; sister, Betty Malone and husband, L.C., of Russellville; a host of nieces and nephews.
Polly was born May 29, 1931 in Mt. Hope, Ala.  She was a member of Quinn Memorial Church of Christ.  On June 1, 1947 she married the love of her life and recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.  She worked many years as manager of the Top Dollar Store and Family Dollar Store in Russellville.  She loved the Lord and instilled that love in all her children and grandchildren.  She was a sweet woman and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Loren McCoy, Trinity Brindley and Bobby Swinney of Southern Care Hospice for their genuine care and concern for our dear wife and mother.
We would like to thank our loving wife and mother for a beautiful life filled with precious memories.  We love you and will miss you always and forever.
