JoAnn Fisher Strange, 74, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Strange retired from working thirty years at U.S. Reduction.  She was a very active member at North Highlands Church of Christ.  She loved being a servant for the Lord.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, servant of God, and a friend to all.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 18, 2011 at North Highlands Church of Christ, Russellville with Bro. Keith Barnett.  Interment was at Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Thomas Strange; parents, Fred and Lucille Fisher; and sister, Betty Marlene Sherrill.
She is survived by her daughters, Luan Willingham and husband, Dennis, of Colbert Heights, and Nancy Lamm and husband, Tracy, of Madison, Ala.; five grandchildren, David Willingham and wife, Layla, Jacob Willingham, Luke Willingham, Amber Lamm, Mallory Lamm; one great-grandchild, John David Willingham; and six nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers were Gary Gunderman, Pete Smith, Johnny Thornton, Micky Spillers, Don Garrett, and Hugh Copeland.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to North Highlands Church of Christ and Hospice for the love shown to our mother and family during this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Highlands Church of Christ Library or the Lads to Leaders Program, 2101 North Jackson Avenue, Russellville, AL 35653.
