Generosity should be extended when called on
More than three months after the deadly tornado ripped across Franklin County and much of Alabama, people are still pouring into the county offering aid and hope to help re-build.
At the Times, we have tried to cover as many of these events as possible. But that is certainly not why people are so willing to help.
The names in the paper and the credit for their generosity is not the driving force behind offering help.
If anything positive can come from the hurt this county has felt, there is a sense of satisfaction knowing that people who do not even know where Franklin County, Ala., is, are willing to do their part in helping us rebuild.
The next time a major disaster happens elsewhere, Franklin County residents should be among the first to offer our help and support in return.
