Thank you to all who helped Phil Campbell

When the tornado first touched down in Phil Campbell on April 27, the conditions were so bad that no one could move around the city and communications were almost all down.

As citizens of Phil Campbell, we are grateful to all those who responded and helped us immediately after the storm and in the months since.

I would like to thank Russellville Mayor Troy Oliver for sending the city’s fire department, police department and street department to help us as soon as they did following the storm.

Street Superintendent Roy Price, Fire Chief Joe Mansell and Police Chief Chris Hargett, along with all of their crews, worked hard to help our city in any way they could.

Churches and volunteer groups from all over the state of Alabama and many from other parts of the country have been working to provide food, water, clothing and labor to our city since April 27.

I want to thank everyone who has stepped in to help us. We are very grateful and appreciative to everyone for all the hard work and help they have given to the people of Phil Campbell.

Billy Wilson, Phil Campbell
