New restaurant will help area continue to grow

The land is cleared and construction should begin soon on the latest business to call Russellville home.

Fast-food chain Wendy’s will be opening a franchise in town, a sign that Russellville is growing despite the current economic troubles plaguing the country.

Businesses like this do not open new locations without doing research into the potential success of the new location. Even with a new eating establishment opening in Russellville earlier this year — Bojangles’ — developers feel there is room for growth in Franklin County’s restaurant industry.

Not only will the new franchise create jobs to run the business, it will also help lure more jobs to the area. When various industries look at where to locate a new plant, one of the factors they consider in potential markets is the quality of life.

Nothing makes quality of life better than providing employees with numerous choices in a wide area of interests, including restaurants, churches, schools and entertainment. Russellville and Franklin County are continuing to grow, and the addition of Wendy’s will only help keep the growth coming in the future.
