Billy Hugh Franks, 67, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at his residence.

Mr. Franks was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a self-employed truck driver.  He had also worked at U.S. Reduction and Blue Star Ready-Mix Concrete.  He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Newburg.

The funeral service will be Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Macedonia Cemetery.  Officiating will be Hoyt Burfield and Scotty Brackin. 

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Franks; children, Tim Franks and wife, Christy, of Muscle Shoals, Terry Franks and wife, Tina, of Hatton, Tancie Bendall and husband, Terry, of Russellville, Jill Hester and husband, Randy, of Russellville, Sindy Martin and husband, Brex, of Mt. Hope, and Jeff Mims, of Spruce Pine; brothers, Ray Franks and wife, Shirley, of Russellville, Hal Dee Franks and wife, Jeanette, of Russellville; sister, Sue Taylor and husband, Eugene, of Russellville; sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Dale Franks.

Pallbearers will be Terry Bendall, Brex Martin, Randy Hester, Aaron Franks, Evan Franks, and Andrew Bendall.  Honorary bearers will be Adam Bendall and Braden Martin.
