Tigers need another win

RED BAY — Red Bay earned a much-needed win against Hatton last week to stay in the playoff chase, but the Tigers are in another must-win situation this week when they travel to Sulligent.

Red Bay is currently fifth in the standings in Class 2A, Region 8 with a 2-2 record in region play. The four teams ahead of them — including Sulligent — are 3-1 in region play.

The Tigers and Blue Devils match up fairly evenly.

Red Bay is scoring 18.8 points per game and allowing 22.7 points per game. Sulligent is scoring 17.8 points per game and allowing 19.8 points per game.

If Red Bay wins it would own the head-to-head tiebreakers against Sulligent and Lamar County, which is also 3-1 in region play.
