Research both sides of alcohol issue before voting

In early November area voters will decide whether or not to legalize alcohol sales in Russellville.

It is a touchy subject, as it is supported and opposed for many different reasons.

Some people are opposed because they feel alcohol is morally wrong. Others oppose legalized sales because they feel it will lead to an increase in crimes such as drunken driving and underage drinking.

The supporters say selling alcohol will generate tax revenues.

It is a critical vote for the future of Russellville.

Before heading to the poll, take time to look at both sides of the issue. Getting information from only one person is not a good way to make an educated decision, because any information they give you will be biased towards their stance on the issue.

Talk to supporters and opponents then decide what you feel is right.

This vote is too important for people not to know both sides of the issue before heading to the polls.
