Police looking for fifth suspect in plant theft

The Russellville Police Department is looking for a man connected to last Thursday’s theft at the inactive Lakota Homes plant in Russellville.

Stephen Wayne Mitchell, also known as Stephen Wayne Ayers, 19, 2900 Waldrop Loop, Russellville, is wanted by the RPD for third-degree burglary, first-degree theft of property, first-degree receiving stolen property and first-degree criminal mischief.

Four men were arrested last Thursday for stealing copper from the inactive plant and the equipment inside.

The suspect was not with these men at the time of their arrest, but it was discovered during the investigation that he was involved in other thefts and burglaries at the plant, officials said.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of this suspect should contact the RPD at 256-332-2230.
