Larry Cupples, 61, of Red Bay, passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 at his residence.  The was born May 7, 1949 in Henderson, Tenn. to David and Jesse Garner Cupples.  He was a baker for 40 years.

Funeral services were held Aug. 15, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Ellington officiating.  Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Hammock Cupples, of Red Bay; eight children, Larry Gene Cupples, Kevin Glen Cupples, Steven Keith Cupples, Shawna Diane Askins and husband, John, and Lina Ann Cupples, all of Dallas, Texas, Michael Eugene Cupples and wife, Jessica, and Brian Eugene Cupples and wife, Tisha, all of San Springs, Okla. and David Glen Cupples, of Red Bay; one brother, Steven Dale Cupples; three sisters, Debbie Long, Teresa Sparks and Suzie Cupples; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David “Glen” Cupples; and daughter, Deana Cupples.

Pallbearers were David Cupples, John Askins, James Dillard, Bill Droke, Randy Elliott and Jack Elliott.
