Anna Lavis Gasaway, born June 23, 1931, passed away at her home in Franklin County on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, and will be laid to rest at Union Hill Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Edward Gasaway and wife, Theresa; three sisters, Mary Lou Miller and husband, Ray, Betty Sue Shelnutt and husband, Bayard, and Jean Davis.; seven grandchildren, Billy Gravitt and wife, Susan, Stephanie Vess and husband, Gary, Cindy Walker and husband, Joey, Connie Williams and husband, Anthony, Lavis Ann Ergle, Danielle Gasaway, and Shannon Gasaway; 13 great-grandchildren Thomas Gravitt, Nikki Jones, Daniel Gravitt, Donnie Jones, Joseph Gravitt, Ashlyn Gravitt, Gabby Hubbard, Madison Gravitt, Lindsey Walker, Lana Williams, Cole Fowler, Trace Walker, and Kylee Rae Santiago, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gasaway Jr.; her parents, Ladis Lav Stehno and Mertie Stehno; her brother Orval Stehno; her daughter Rhonda Pace; and her son, Kenneth Gasaway.

Services will be held at Gray Rock Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the service will be on Sunday, August 8, at 11 a.m. Pastor William Borden will lead the service.

Pallbearers are Thomas Gravitt, Daniel Gravitt, Joseph Gravitt, Donnie Jones, Jonathan Waltz, Tim Stehno and honorary Pallbearer Anthony Williams.

The family would like to give special appreciation to Dr. Morrow, Mid South, Hospice of North Alabama, Russellville Hospital, and Darlene Bosse.
