Jimmy Norris Lane, Sr., 71, of Elkmont, died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Pat Lawrence officiating. Burial was in Old Scrouge Cemetery.

He was born on Sept. 24, 1938, in Franklin County, to Louis Lane and Mary Ethel Roberson Lane. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Franklin County.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Lane, of Elkmont; five sons, Jimmy Norris Lane Jr. and wife, Faye, of Elkmont, Bobby Dee Lane and wife, Denise, of Hartselle, Terry Wayne Lane and wife, Camme, of Elkmont, Don Lane and wife, Erica, of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Heath Lane and wife, Paula, of Elkmont; one daughter, Regina Lane Appleton and husband, Ronnie, of Elkmont; two sisters, Martha Ann Clem and husband, Charles, of Elkmont, and Joyce Daly and husband, Louis, of Ardmore; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Todd Clem, Greg Clem, Charles Clem, Brad Vanhoozer, Donald Lane Jr., J.D. Byers, Justin Wayne Varnes and Robert Vincent Grams III.
