Cherlyn Annette Spencer, 47, of Vina, Ala. passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.  She was born March 1, 1963 in Aurora, Ill. to Travis and Mary Blackburn Spencer.  She was an employee of Red Bay Hospital in housekeeping for 15 years.  She was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J.C. Blackburn and Bro. W.D. Humphres officiating.  Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Vina, Ala.

She is survived by one daughter, Cassandra Weiss, of Vina; two grandchildren, Rachel Patterson and Matthew Patterson; mother, Mary Spencer, of Vina; one brother, Ricky Spencer, of Vina; one sister, Marilyn Dvorak, of Illinois; three nieces, April Spencer, of Oklahoma, Rachel Dvorak, of Arizona, and Crystal Dvorak, of Illinois; and one nephew, Anthony Spencer, of Red Bay.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Spencer, Anthony Spencer, Hershel Beaty, Chris Morrow, John Morrow and Murray Morrow.
