Billy Joe Fowler, 69, of Phil Campbell, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.

He was a lifetime resident of Franklin County and member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. He was the owner and operator of a trucking business.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Olan Burcham and Sammy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Freida F. Fowler, of Phil Campbell; children, Jerry B. Wade, Jr. and wife Jane, of Russellville, Ryan A. Wade and wife, Andrea, of Phil Campbell; sister, Vera Scott, of Phil Campbell; brothers, Edward Fowler and wife, Margaret, of Rockford, Ill., Bobby Fowler and wife, Carolyn, of Wisconsin, Jerry D. Fowler and wife, Carolyn, of Killen; grandchildren, Holly Hargett and Justin Wade; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Benny Jorden, Sean Brown, Seth Brown, Chris Nichols, Chad Nichols, Jonathan Kent, David Edgar, Keith Edgar and Kelvin Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Nova Fowler, and his son, Ricky Fowler.
